Little Bud

Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder, they say.

I have watched the bud curl into a beautiful flower; basking in the sun and enchanting the onlookers in it’s fragrance and spell.

I have watched it slowly wilt through the days, observed it darkened and gracefully finish it’s days.

I have seen the petals shed one by one, laying there alone and lifeless. Where had the time gone?

Maybe time is beauty, the passing. It all ends with you. Time, beauty
And the beholder.
